Dr. Sudip Mittal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Alabama. His research interests fall broadly in the areas of Cybersecurity, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Artificial Intelligence. More specifically, his work focuses on building self-protecting systems, autonomous intrusion response, along with predictive maintenance and security of unmanned vehicles/aircraft. At UA, he leads the Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SECRETS) Lab and is the Associate Director of the Predictive Analytics and Technology Integration (PATENT) Lab. He has published over 110 journals and conference papers in leading venues. Mittal’s work has been referenced in The LA times, Business Insider, WIRED, and The CyberWire. He is a member of the ACM and IEEE.
